“It looks like a bombed city in World War II,” says Hope as they head toward the center of the city.

Everything is covered with gray dust, including a couple of looters who are running, carrying away a large TV and a computer system, still in their boxes. The cars stop at a large park where hundreds of people are gathered. Rubble, crushed cars, abandoned vehicles, and an overturned city bus fill the streets near the park. As she and Tom roll down their windows, the weeping grows louder. Julian and Wan get out of their car.

“Can you both start to help these people?” Tom asks them. “We’ll look for more injured up ahead.”

“Okay,” says Wan.

“Will do,” says Julian.

“We’ll try to be back within an hour,” says Tom. “If you need our help sooner, call us, if you can get a signal on your phones.”

“Hope! Pray with the people,” says Wan.

“Tom will,” says Hope as she starts the engine. “We’ll see you later. Bye.”

“Bye,” says Wan as Hope’s car takes off.
